Student Grant for Clean Water Project -
Emma Wood with DEC is looking for funds to help with a mission to Honduras to setup clean water. This is church mission, but the goal is clean... Reach out Will or other on the grant committee if you have any questions.
SummerFest - Was a rainy day success by all measures.
We had about 300-400 community members come. A few food vendors, a few non-profits and couple of vendors. The rain made things tough. But the Face painter reported painting 40+ faces in 2 hours. Music and Story Teller were well received and enjoyed. Play area/kids area with SCU was very popular.
Our sponsors: SCU, Riverwoods Durham, Chinburg Builders, Collins Mortgage, BlackBirch Dev, Powder Major Farm, and Link Orthodontics.
We cleared over $3000.
BINGO -
They have been very popular and setting records for attendance and ticket sales. We still need volunteers to sign up. It would be great if members can sign up in advance. The Bingo Committee would like our sign ups at least 1 week in advance.
They are also doing ticket counting today and tomorrow afternoons at the Bingo Hall.
