Announcements
ADG Malcolm McNeil: Presented a certificate for 100% participation in support of The Rotary Foundation in 2017-2018.  He also commended the club for its increase (5) in membership this year.  (Which puts us, at the half-year mark, right on target  - halfway to Pres. Tom's goal.)

Bill: Delivered 25 turkeys to St Thomas More food pantry for their Thanksgiving baskets.  Donations for turkeys (club match) from members toward the other three pantries' Christmas baskets continues.

John: Exeter Rotary is having their silent auction at the Exeter Inn on Dec 7th.  Admission is $50.

Andy: Couple of holes left in the Bingo schedule in January.  You can see them at the Bingo link on our website.

Program:
Phil Albright has been in landscaping design for the last 30 years.  You may have seen his $2,000 auction item on the NHPTV auction.  Most of his work lately has been in the general area of the Nubble Lighthouse.  He starts with a site plan with consideration for color, texture and the preferences of his client, and after a meeting with the client comes up with a final plan, and another meeting before beginning the work.  Most of his work falls into the range of $20K to $300K.  And most of it is residential.  Some of his customers ask for a water feature, and there the objective is sound.

When the cold weather arrives, he turns to his Christmas tree business.  His 14 acre property out on Packers Falls Rd lends itself to the business.  His Hong Kong customers are mostly ex-Patriots.  Phil is also interested in hybrid seeds and is writing a book on the subject.

We learned his father was an Army surgeon.  But we didn't hear about Phil's travels as an Army brat - next time.  We're very glad to have Phil and Anita with us.

Sarah Cormier is a Mainer.  Her two older brothers are still there.  For the last 10 years, she has been in banking, the last 2 1/2 with Service Credit Union.  This after holding an "amazing" variety of jobs after graduation.  The current love of her life is her three huskies (she tells us that her longest relationship has been with her dentist!).

She has a service thread in her life that stretches back to the 7th grade when she volunteered for the recycling program at her middle school.  Wherever she's lived, she has found opportunities to make a difference in her community.  One of her most chilling adventures was a fundraiser in Kennebunkport - a polar plunge where she raised $700 and many goosebumps.  She's with us now and looking forward to some hands-on projects.  A warm welcome to Sarah.

Is it the truth?  Is it fair to all concerned?  Will it build good will and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
