Brian Coulstring - Newmarket Lions Club - Camp Pride - Gilford, NH - one week is blind, one week is diabetes

Primary focus is eye care, and support cancer treatment.  Christmas tree sales is the major fundraiser, and can always use volunteers to help.  Buy a tree for a vet is another way to help.  Meeting every 3rd Wednesday at 6:00pm at Newmarket Recreation.  Wal Mart provides the eyecare, up to $300.  Like every nonprofit, volunteerism is down. They are looking for members. They go into elementary schools to do eye testing and referrals.  Shared information about our initiatives and opportunities to collaborate.

Steve from FFI is getting involved in 2 global grants.  The first one is involved in peace in Northern Ireland.  Second is involved in Belize providing environmental camp grants.  These are probably international grants.  There are multiple issues at play - there is more involved in participation than just joining.  There is a class on the Rotary page that needs to be completed and there is involvement at the district level.
