Pres. Andy: Have 10 red oaks and 30 maples saplings on hand. We've identified the two forests for them. He'll send an email out with a date and time for planting ... We've received a $1,200 check from Dover for our work on Bingo to-date ... We're costing out the July 4th banner for over Pettee Brook - have one quote for $315 ... Upcoming dates: May 4th @ 5 PM Channel 11 Auction, May 16th @ 7:30 AM Rte 4 Cleanup ... May 19 @ 8 AM Flag Hill vine planting.
Heather: Moved that we expend $20 [could be a bit more] at e.g. The Works, for a light breakfast; responsibility for pickup would rotate among the members. Members will be compensated. Whatever is collected but not expended would be deposited in the Club Operations account (excess funds in this account may be transferred by the Club to the Charitable account). Approved.
Tom B: Proposed that we join Rochester and Dover in building the playground behind the new CAPSC facility. Dover has applied for a District Grant to partially fund the playground.
Steve: Inquired about the state of the Longmarsh bridging. John said that he and Andy had looked at them and they were ok, and this is a project that we should continue to do in the years needed in the Fall when the bugs are gone and the water level is low.
Russ: Sunday, June 24th is going to be Rotary Day at Fisher Cats stadium. $36 gets you a game ticket and the buffet. More on this later. (Ed. Note: we used to do a Rotary Day in Portland at the (Red Sox AA affiliate) Sea Dogs games.)
Program
Heather projected the web site and walked us through a number of the pages. Many of the pages are public - they can be viewed without logging in, e.g. the Dinghy. Other pages are found in the Member Area with a simple log-in, e.g. member profiles, email addresses. One section of the Member Area will be the location of the Constitution, Bylaws and Policies, as well as the budget. Members need to update their profiles in many cases; she and Ric can help get info keyed in, and Candace can update your picture. She pointed out the Calendar section which currently carries RI and club events and will soon carry District events. There is a ClubRunner Mobile app which can be downloaded to your phone giving you access to scheduled events and contact information for the club, District and RI.
